One injury is entangled netting for example fishing lines, bags and balloons. Sometimes sea turtles mistaken balloons and plastic bags as food. When they eat this, it clogs their intestines which can cause death sometimes. Surgery has to be done or sometimes amputating limbs of the turtle.  To rehabilitate the sea turtle, the turtle has to get used to swimming in enclosed pools.  Fishing gear is one of the main causes for turtle injuries. Most of the time, the sea turtles are not meant to be catched this is called bycatch. TED which stands for Turtle Excluder Devices. TED allows the turtles and other large animals to escape the net through the back while still capturing smaller animals. However, many fisherman still do not use these types of nettings and turtles are being killed.
